What’s the difference between Cirrus 3 Iron Steamer and Cirrus X Handheld Steamer?
The main difference is that Cirrus 3 Iron Steamer has a heated ironing plate, while Cirrus X Handheld Steamer is a regular steamer with a non-heated front plate. The Cirrus 3 Iron Steamer also has a flat base and can stand up on its own. Cirrus X Handheld Steamer instead has a hanging loop for easy storage.
Do I need to descale my Cirrus 3 Iron Steamer?
No, you don’t need to descale your Cirrus 3 Iron Steamer. It’s equipped with built-in limescale traps that minimize the risk of limescale clogging the steamer. However, if you live in an area with hard water, we always recommend using distilled or filtered water.
Can I steam delicate fabrics even if the ironing plate is heated?
The ironing plate is only heated to the equivalent of heat level one on a conventional iron, which is usually reserved for delicate fabrics like silk or cashmere. We still recommend being extra careful when steaming delicate fabrics. Start by holding the steamer at a small distance from the fabric when steaming particularly delicate items.
How long can I use my Cirrus 3 Iron Steamer for?
We recommend that you steam for a maximum of 30 minutes at a time and allow it to cool down between sessions. If you need to steam many more items in one go, we recommend using a standing steamer with a larger water tank and continuous steam, like our Cumulus Home Steamer.
