After years of back and forth, Deus Ex Machina finally got Matt Willey, the Brooklyn based graphic designer, to cast his wares across a range. As obsessed with historical moto culture and intrinsic details as Deus is, Matt went deep into the archives of motor races past to garner inspiration for his range, and the result is an offering littered with master-stokes of strong concepts and deceptively simple design. The mantra was “It looks how it goes, it goes how it looks”. Every detail has been endlessly pondered and tweaked in the name of timeless style.
Canggu, the once humble village away from the hustle of Kuta that’s now Bali’s hottest property. Deus thought it was time to pay homage to one of the true surf hubs on the Island of the Gods. Matt Willey’s thrown the design sink at the Canggu Address Tee Vintage White, reflecting the vibrancy of the place in this boxy tee that features prints front and back, back pocket and a 50/50 recycled/regular cotton fabrication.
