After years of back and forth, Deus Ex Machina finally got Matt Willey, the world-renowned graphic designer, to cast his wares across a range. As obsessed with historical moto culture and intrinsic details as Deus is, Matt went deep into the archives of motor races past to garner inspiration for his range, and the result is an offering littered with master-stokes of strong concepts and deceptively simple design. The mantra was “It looks how it goes, it goes how it looks”. Every detail has been endlessly pondered and tweaked in the name of timeless style.

The No. 52 Crew Vintage White is a masterpiece of referencing designs past, blending it with modern themes, and producing something simultaneously nostalgic yet topical. It’s a box fit crew with chest embroidery, with contrast elbow panelling and painstaking care taken over the finer details. From the subtle branding to the stitching.
